The Kavkaz and Eastern European Students Association (KEESA UTSC) is the first ever student association at the University of Toronto Scarborough dedicated to the cultures of the Caucasus and Eastern Europe. KEESA exists to bring together students who identify with or are passionate about the region’s rich history, vibrant traditions, and evolving cultural identities.
Rooted in unity, celebration, and education, KEESA creates an inclusive and welcoming space for all students regardless of heritage to engage in meaningful cultural exchange, explore new perspectives, and build lasting connections. We proudly represent the diverse voices of Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Armenia, Ukraine, Poland, Hungary, the Balkans, and beyond, while remaining non-political and non-sectarian.
Whether through unforgettable cultural nights, panel discussions, music, art, food festivals, or language circles, KEESA fosters a dynamic environment where community thrives. Our mission is to:
-
Celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of the Kavkaz and Eastern European regions
-
Support students in discovering their roots or embracing new cultures
-
Build a strong, united community grounded in respect, curiosity, and shared values
At KEESA, we don’t just represent cultures we bring them to life.
