Association of Biology and Beyond for Students (ABBS) is a student-led community at the University of Toronto Scarborough dedicated to uniting life science students across diverse disciplines. Our mission is to create an inclusive, engaging, and academically enriching environment where students can explore the intersections of biology with biochemistry, biotechnology/bioinformatics, and biomedical sciences.
By joining ABBS, members can expect:
-
Community & Connection – Build lasting friendships and networks with like-minded peers across all years of study.
-
House System – Be part of one of our three Houses (Biochemistry, Biotechnology/Bioinformatics, Biomedical Science) that host tailored events, discussions, and competitions.
-
Academic & Research Growth – Access opportunities for research, collaboration, mentorship, and professional development.
-
Events & Engagement – Participate in workshops, socials, and interdisciplinary conferences that highlight cutting-edge science and student leadership.
-
Inclusivity & Impact – Contribute to a supportive community that values curiosity, collaboration, and outreach beyond the classroom.
ABBS is more than just a club—it’s a place to belong, grow, and shape the future of science together.
