The Black Medical Students’ Association (BMSA) is a student-led group at the University of Toronto dedicated to supporting Black medical learners and fostering an inclusive community within Temerty Medicine. Our mission is to empower Black students in medicine through mentorship, professional development, health promotion, and community outreach.
Members can expect opportunities to:
– Connect with peers and mentors who share a commitment to diversity and equity in medicine,
– Take part in outreach initiatives that inspire Black youth to pursue careers in health and science,
– Participate in educational workshops, networking events, and community health promotion activities,
– Contribute to advocacy efforts that advance representation and wellness for Black learners at UofT and beyond.
