Flint Knapping and Paleo-bushcraft Club St George

This group is all about getting hands-on with ancient skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment. We focus on flint knapping and other Paleolithic-style bushcraft techniques. Basically learning how people thousands of years ago turned natural materials into tools, art, and everyday essentials. We will practice shaping stone, working with wood, plant fibres, and whatever else we can find in nature, using methods based on real archaeological evidence.

No experience needed! Whether you’re totally new or already have some skills, you’ll have space to learn, experiment, and improve at your own pace. It’s not just about making tools, but about understanding how they were made, connecting with the materials around us, and appreciating the creativity and ingenuity of early humans. Expect a mix of learning, trial-and-error, and just enjoying the process together. Hope to see you soon!
