Winter Break

During the University’s winter break, student group leaders may apply for student group recognition, request edits to existing student groups, and submit and edit events and opportunities, but University staff will not be available to review applications and edit requests, nor to provide support, from Monday, December 23 until Monday, January 6. Best wishes for a safe, happy, and healthy holiday season!

Association of Renaissance Students (ARS) St George

Welcome to the Association of Renaissance Students!

We are a course union for students enrolled in the Renaissance Studies program at Victoria College, and serve as an interdisciplinary social space for all students interested in the Early Modern Period (1300-1700)!

While our events vary from year to year, we typically host a variety of usual events. We host weekly study groups where you can eat, drink, and talk with your fellow Renaissance enthusiasts and rare book workshops where you can hold a sixteenth-century book in your own hands! We offer pub nights alongside other miscellaneous social events, and host an academic conference every year typically in the winter semester.

For those who join us, expect a small, tight-knit community. We hope to aid each other in navigating the stressful and sometimes scary world of university and help each other progress our academic skills. We look forward to meeting you!
