Concussion Legacy Foundation University of Toronto (CLF UofT) is a student-led organization dedicated to advancing concussion awareness, prevention, and education for athletes and the broader community.
As a chapter of the Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada, we focus on three core areas: community presentations, research engagement, and awareness events.
Concussions are often under-recognized injuries, with symptoms that may not appear immediately and can be difficult to identify without proper education. To address this gap, members of our team deliver interactive, evidence-based workshops to student-athletes and youth in local schools, equipping them with the knowledge to recognize, respond to, and take concussions seriously using a bystander intervention approach. Through this work, we aim to promote a safer and more informed culture around brain health.
Our research engagement team explores emerging concussion science and shares accessible insights through initiatives such as podcasts, newsletters, and social media. We also organize campus-wide events, including interactive activities that promote brain health, panel discussions with healthcare professionals and researchers, and collaborative events with other student organizations to encourage meaningful conversations about brain injury and prevention.
Through these initiatives, CLF UofT promotes a safer, more informed community while supporting education and engagement around brain health and concussion prevention.
