The group is set on the basis of providing an open, non-sectarian, non-political environment where students are given the chance to interact within each other and surrounding communities. The purpose of the UTSC Middle Eastern Students’ Organization is to represent Middle Eastern  students on campus while establishing and promoting Middle Eastern cultural customs.

The Middle Eastern Students’ Association aims to facilitate middle eastern students’ transition to university life by continual check ins and connecting them with other students of similar background, values and ethnicities while also promoting inter-cultural mingling.
