“Minds, Miles & Motivation (3M) Running Club” is tailored to offer all international students at U of T a way towards a healthier lifestyle, both mentally and physically. Our mission is to encourage students to get active, and by doing so, advocate the positive influence of physical exercise on mental health. Our plans to achieve this goal include leading weekly community running sessions, participating third-party running events as a group, and holding monthly workshops that incorporate topics on mental health into physical exercises. We will also collaborate with other campus groups to elaborate the variety of our events, which potentially involve yoga, fitness, meditation workshops, etc. Through participating these activities and workshops, our executive and general members will be able to make new connections, share memorable experiences with each other, and get more actively involved in the community. Overall, we aim to build a unique supportive network among students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds, thereby directing them towards a vigorous and healthy campus life.
