We are a competitive dragon boat team that represents New College from the University of Toronto. We strive to provide a safe environment for students to build friendships, engage in a healthy lifestyle, and ultimately develop the self-discipline and perseverance necessary for a successful future.
New Dragons is one of the fastest dragon boat teams in Canada. We consistently dominate the dragon boating scene, and achieved many accomplishments throughout the years. As a team, we are comprised of students from various universities pursuing education at the undergraduate and graduate level. As a family, we help push each other through the struggles of training, school, work, and everything else life throws at us. Our passion keeps us strong and our bond keeps us together.
New Dragons is looking for committed individuals to join us for the 2023-2024 season to compete in the Canadian Dragon Boat Championships, and lead us to perform in the 2024 Club Crew World Championships in Ravenna, Italy. We look for candidates from both inside and outside of the University of Toronto, and we welcome both experienced and beginner paddlers to try out. With us, you can train with a diverse team of athletes throughout the season and you can always find a place in our family.
