The Queer Science Journal (QSJ) is a student-led organization at the University of Toronto committed to highlighting and celebrating 2SLGBTQ+ contributions to the field of science.
Our purpose is to:
- Increase visibility and honour the meaningful work of the queer community in the advancement of scientific knowledge.
- Curate a collection of accessible, unbiased educational content through our Book Club and “Queer-Reviewed” Research Spotlight initiatives.
- Create more opportunities for 2SLGBTQ+ students to further connect with their communities through Industry Professional Conferences and Book Club Social Events.
- Fundraise for both local and international organizations that support 2SLGBTQ+ individuals.
Our work is based on our core principles of intersectionality, impartiality, visibility and community.
