The UTSC Student Dragon Boat Team Crimson Dragons participates in the competitive sport of dragon boat racing through attending a number of provincial and/or national regattas throughout the season from May to August. We promote a healthy active lifestyle by holding two team practices weekly during the off-season, as well as smaller, close-knit training sessions held by our coaches. The off-season runs from September to April to build overall fitness and improve paddling technique. We train students from beginner to advanced levels of experience in dragon boat paddling. Everyone is welcomed!

Apart from training, we host several social events throughout the year to create a memorable year and closer team bond; and fundraising events to help pay for regattas, dragon boat rentals and practices, and professional coaching.

Dragon Boat racing encourages qualities of teamwork, leadership skills, goal setting, and dedication; and provides a sense of community among UTSC students. It is an excellent opportunity to meet and bond with new people, making this team an ideal choice for students looking to make friends while trying out a new sport!
