The University of Toronto Psychedelic club exists to support advocacy efforts, foster academic discourse, spark new research projects and build community within the emerging field of psychedelic medicine. As a group, we plan to engage in helping shape the legal and regulatory framework to incorporate harm-reduction principles while ensuring policy aligns with scientific evidence and is poised to provide the greatest benefit to humanity. In addition to advocacy work, journal club and research presentations will enable students to engage with leading research in the fields of neuroscience, psychology, pharmacology, chemistry and psychiatry. Beyond the usual networking that happens at social events, we seek to provide spaces where students can connect on a deeper level and form valuable personal relationships.
