What is UTM Unscripted?
UTM Unscripted is a beginner-friendly performance games club associated with the University of Toronto Mississauga, where students can build confidence, meet new people, and have fun in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.
Through interactive performance games, gameshow-style challenges, improv-based activities, and themed events, members are encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, express themselves, and support one another—no prior improv, theatre, or public speaking experience required.
Whether you’re looking to overcome stage fright, improve your communication skills, make new friends, or simply enjoy a fun evening of collaborative games, UTM Unscripted offers an inclusive community where everyone is welcome to participate at their own comfort level.

What kind of events happen here?
UTM Unscripted has weekly club sessions where members come together to play interactive performance games, participate in improv-based challenges, and have fun in a supportive environment.
Each session features a variety of activities, such as improv-inspired games, gameshow-style challenges, audience participation, and other creative exercises designed to help students build confidence, think on their feet, and connect with others.
No prior performance experience is needed — whether you’re comfortable on stage or trying something completely new, everyone is welcome to participate at their own pace.

I’ve never acted before, can I join?
Absolutely! UTM Unscripted is designed for students of all experience levels, including people who have never performed before.
You do not need any acting, improv, theatre, or public speaking experience to participate. Our activities are designed to be beginner-friendly, low-pressure, and focused on having fun, building confidence, and connecting with others.
