The UTSC Charity Fashion Show Club (UTSC CFS) organizes an annual fashion show at the end of the school year where students showcase their creative talent, in fashion design, photography, make-up, hair styling, modelling and more. The Charity Fashion Show night is filled with music, small local businesses, food and fashion, with entertainment paid for by sponsors. All proceeds earned from the annual Charity Fashion Show event will be donated to UTSC CFS’s chosen charity for that year.
Throughout the year, UTSC CFS hosts fashion-related socials, workshops (including ones for UTSC CFS models to refine their runway walks or embroidery classes), and volunteering events where students can get involved in the community and learn about UTSC CFS’s designated charity. UTSC CFS creates an annual Magazine where models and photographers will come together to visually represent stories written by UTSC Students about UTSC and local Scarborough talent and news.
The club allows students to understand what it’s like to break into the fashion industry in the GTA. UTSC CFS enables student creators to gain exposure and confidence in their work by showcasing it in the UTSC Fashion Show while supporting a charitable cause.
