Cricket has been played at UTSC for a long time now, but it was never a sport that expanded beyond a small group of students. But now times have changed, a change came in the sport of Cricket at UTSC. The Cricket Club at UTSC today compete with multiple universities and colleges across Ontario. And also take part in organizing and playing in large tournaments and league that are province wide. The Club today also have an extensive Tape Ball Cricket Program, where they all organize a campus wide Tape Ball League each semester. Clubs expansion have also came with inclusion of Co-ed Cricket where the UTSC Cricket Club formed the first ever all Female Cricket Team in UofT history. The women’s team playing competitively were successful to triumph in the tournament for years now and became the first ever victors of an all female cricket Tri-series in Canada. Over the years UTSC has also given this country some great cricketers, some of whom play for Cricket Canada today. And with the expansion the Cricket Club of UTSC hope to add to this list in the coming future.
