Right to Play – UTSG Student Chapter St George

Play is the active engagement in physical activity and recreation. Play has been shown to aid in positively promoting health and wellness, education and equality. Right to Play is a non-profit organization that harnesses these benefits of play to empower children across the world with quality education, gender equality, health and well being, and child protection. These are in the hopes of providing positive experiences for children inside and outside the classroom and paving a better future for millions of children.

The Right to Play UTSG Chapter is a student led organization that aims to host physical activity programs to raise awareness on the importance of protecting these opportunities of play for children. Our mission is to build a community that rises above adversity by creating spaces for students to be heard and actively engage in physical activity regardless of athletic ability or physical capacities. In addition, we plan to facilitate fundraising initiatives in support of building safe play environments for children.
