Coda is a cancer fundraising initiative that unites over 150 CEGEP and university students across Quebec and Ontario, including a dedicated branch at the University of Toronto. Originating as a student club at Marianopolis College in 2019, Coda has grown significantly, transitioning into a non-profit organization in 2021 in collaboration with the Canadian Cancer Society. Our UofT branch is committed to continuing the impactful work of previous branches, such as providing a platform for cancer survivors, selling trendy sweaters, and organizing galas to de-stigmatize cancer. While we uphold these important traditions, we are also focused on innovating and expanding our efforts, with the aim of making a larger impact. Our executive team at UofT will work diligently to plan events, enhance student engagement across campus, and contribute meaningfully to Coda’s mission of minimizing cancer’s burden on Canadians.
