Brain Changes Initiative Student Chapter at University of Toronto Scarborough (BCI.UTSC) UTSC

Welcome to the Brain Changes Initiative at the University of Toronto Scarborough!
We are the UTSC chapter of the nationally recognized Brain Changes Initiative, an organization committed to advancing brain health, raising awareness about Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and supporting revolutionary research in preventative care.

Founded by the inspiring Dr. Matthew Galati, who survived a TBI following a motor-vehicle accident that left him in a coma, our organization embodies resilience, advocacy, and education. Dr. Galati’s passion for brain health and his dedication to providing support and resources for individuals with TBI, as well as educating the general public, are the cornerstones of our mission.

At BCI UTSC, we’re building a student community passionate about brain wellness and TBI awareness. Our initiatives include:
• Wellness bike rides and runs
• Educational workshops in local elementary schools
• Brain health conferences and outreach events

Join us in promoting brain health, supporting those affected by TBI, and contributing to a greater public understanding of neuroscience. Together, let’s create meaningful change on our campus, community and beyond.
