The University of Toronto Skateboarders Club aims to unite all current and potential skaters (Skateboards, Longboards, Roller Skates, Inlines, Freeskates, etc.) from the University of Toronto with the broader Toronto Skateboarding Community. To achieve this goal, we aim to provide an encouraging, friendly, supportive, and safe environment for all UofT skateboarders of all levels, from beginners to sponsored skaters. We offer 2 to 3 sessions weekly for members to meet, share new techniques, teach each other, and improve as a group. We hope to host members of the U of T community at skate events throughout the GTA, both run by the club and by external community members. We also coordinate with local skate shops and community organizations to run collaborative sessions, where we can expose U of T members to more niche aspects of the community. We also hold longboard dancing competitions, where regional skaters can come and compete for prizes and recognition from sponsors.
