The Mural Dream UTM

Hi!

Welcome to The Mural Dream, a student-led initiative committed to fostering inclusive and collaborative spaces through the power of ART. We are deeply rooted in the values of community and creativity, firmly believing that art should be open to everyone.

Our mission is to transform the so-common blank walls (or almost every wall at UTM into dynamic canvases that vividly reflect our diverse identities and shared experiences. We aim to inspire connection, healing, and a sense of belonging through the collective art-making process, both on campus and beyond.

From schools and hospitals to under-resourced spaces, The Mural Dream believes in a world where every wall narrates a unique story, and everyone has the opportunity to contribute with a brush in hand.

Join us twice a year (during reading week) for our main event as we bring murals to life on the walls of UTM. This social event, lasting 6-9 days, is a celebration of unity and self-expression. People from different backgrounds come together to paint, converse, share ideas, and discover new facets of themselves and others. It’s a place where creativity seamlessly meets community.

No artistic skills are required to participate and express yourself. The Mural Dream is about being part of a supportive community and leaving a lasting trace of your presence.

Let the campus remember you; and remember- Anyone Can Paint!
