Ananda Marga Yoga Club St George

The purpose of Ananda Marga Yoga club is to make yoga and meditation practices accessible to students of any religious, cultural, ethnic, national or any other background. In AMYC, we will host collective meditations, asana classes, yogic philosophy and wellness study-circles, presentations, and conferences. We will also invite experienced meditation and yoga teachers to give classes, answer questions, and practice together for wellness and progress.

Our group’s motto is “Self-Realization and Service to All”.

The club is inspired by Shri Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar’s spiritual teachings; philosophy of Neohumanism; and ideas for the all-round welfare of all. He was a prominent philanthropist, philosopher, educator, thinker, social worker and spiritual guide (1921-1990).

The mission of AMYC is to nourish mental and spiritual wellbeing of students; promote Neohumanist education and outlook (love for all humans, animals, plants and ecology); promote sentient art, culture and support artists.
