Winter Break

During the University’s winter break, student group leaders may apply for student group recognition, request edits to existing student groups, and submit and edit events and opportunities, but University staff will not be available to review applications and edit requests, nor to provide support, from Monday, December 23 until Monday, January 6. Scarborough Campus Students’ Union UTSC

SCSU is the Scarborough Campus Students’ Union, the official representative of all undergraduate students at the University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC).

SCSU democratically unites, represents, and provides avenues for mutual empowerment of the diverse 17,000 members of the undergraduate students body of UTSC. We are committed to providing effective advocacy, enriching the university experience, and addressing student needs and interests through the delivery of exemplary services. We operate through our three pillars which include Campaigns, Services and Events.

SCSU operates year-round through its team of 6 executives, 18 directors, 6 full-time staff, numerous part-time staff, and a great deal of student involvement.

SCSU operates the Student Centre, owns 1265 Bistro Restaurant, and provides a range of services including the Handbooks, bursaries, discount movie passes, discount Metropasses, tax service, graduation photos, the Health & Dental Plan, lockers, microwaves, photocopying service, and SCSU prizes. We also organize events such as Orientation, Multi-cultural Week, Spring Formal, Concerts, Black History Month Programming and the annual Undergraduate Research Symposium.
